Privacy Policy
The short, honest version: this is a static site that knows almost nothing about you. Effective October 9, 2026.
This privacy policy is effective as of October 9, 2026 and covers everything TradePages does with information about its readers — which is very little, because there is very little to do.
What this site collects
TradePages is a static website. Reading it requires no account, and no page asks you to log in. If you email the desk, we receive exactly what you typed — your email address and your message — and we use it only to reply. There is no bulletin, no signup form and no mailing list anywhere on this site, so there is nothing to subscribe to and nothing to unsubscribe from.
What this site doesn't do
We don't sell, rent or trade your email address. We don't build reader profiles, and we don't gate any content behind data collection. How traffic is measured is set out in the next section.
Traffic measurement
Two tools measure traffic. Cloudflare, which delivers the site, runs Web Analytics: no cookies, page counts only. Google Analytics 4, run by Google LLC and by Google Ireland Ltd. for visitors in Europe, records the pages you view, the site that referred you, your approximate city and country, your device and browser type, and the length of your visit. It knows your browser by a random ID, not by name, and it does not log or store IP addresses.
Advertising features, Google signals and ad personalisation are switched off, so none of this is used for advertising, and none of it is sold. GA4 uses two first-party cookies, _ga and _ga_<ID>, that last up to two years; they are set only after analytics is allowed and removed if you decline later.
Where your device's time zone is in Europe (EEA, UK or Switzerland), a banner asks first and nothing goes to Google unless you accept. Elsewhere it's on by default and you can turn it off at any time. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, that counts as opting out. Your answer is kept in local storage as analytics-consent, not in a cookie, and the cookie settings link brings the banner back. Google's handling is set out in the Google Privacy Policy; the Google Analytics opt-out add-on blocks it on every site.
Affiliate links and third parties
Links routed through /go/ addresses take you to a vendor's site with a referral tag attached. From the moment you land there, that vendor's own privacy policy governs — the tag tells them the visit came from us; it does not send us anything about you. Which vendors may pay us for those referrals is spelled out in the affiliate disclosure.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the effective date above changes with it — no silent edits. Questions about it go to the desk via the contact page.
