Best Website Builder for Coaches (2026): Booking, Paid Sessions and Programs, Priced

For most coaches the stamp goes to Squarespace paired with Acuity Scheduling: Basic at $19 a month plus Acuity Starter at $16, so $35 a month on annual billing (US prices, read on 9 and 10 Oct 2026). Coaching is a booking business first. A client finds you, books a discovery call, pays for a session or a package, and fills in an intake form; Acuity does all four, and Squarespace gives the practice a site that looks as considered as the coaching. Choose this pair if you sell one-to-one sessions or packages. Skip it if what you really sell is a recorded program or a paid group, where Podia or Mighty Networks fit better and are priced below.

What a coaching site actually needs

A coaching website is judged on one moment: the visitor who is ready to talk. Everything before that moment builds enough trust for them to book, and everything after it should take payment and information without a single email back and forth. That makes the requirements short and specific.

  • A discovery-call booking link that shows real availability in the client's own time zone.
  • Paid sessions and packages, collected when the client books rather than invoiced afterwards.
  • An intake form that runs before the first session, so the hour starts with context.
  • Testimonials with names and roles you have permission to use, near the booking button.
  • A program or course, only if you actually sell one; most coaches start without.

The order matters. Coaches often start with the last item, building a course platform before they have ten clients, and end up paying program prices for a booking job. We judge every trade on our board by the job first and the plan second; how we rank explains the method.

1:1 coaching: Squarespace + Acuity vs Wix Bookings

Acuity Scheduling, which Squarespace owns, is the reason this pairing wins. Its US pricing page, read on 10 Oct 2026, lists Starter at $16 a month billed annually or $20 monthly, with one calendar, payments through Stripe, Square, PayPal or Venmo, email reminders and custom client forms. Standard, at $27 or $34, raises the limit to six calendars and adds text reminders, a waitlist, gift certificates, and the ability to sell packages and memberships with bundled pricing or recurring billing. Every plan has a 7-day trial with no card.

Squarespace adds the site around it. As of 9 Oct 2026, Basic costs $19 a month paid yearly ($25 if paid month to month) and Core $29 ($39), and yearly plans come with a first-year domain at no cost. One thing to watch: if you sell sessions or packages through Squarespace's own checkout instead of Acuity, Basic takes 2% of store sales, and 7% of anything sold as digital content or a membership. Taking session payments inside Acuity avoids both. For a coach whose site is the shop window, Squarespace with Acuity is the strongest presentation for the money.

Wix is the one-bill alternative. Wix Bookings handles discovery calls and paid sessions once the site is on a plan that accepts payments, and Core, at $29 a month annual, is the first that does. That is $6 a month less than the Squarespace pair, with a single dashboard. The caveat sits in packages: Wix sells them through its Pricing Plans app, and its US plans page, read on 10 Oct 2026, lists a Pricing Plans transaction fee of 4% on Core (2% on Business, 0% on Business Elite). If you sell single sessions, Wix Core is the cheapest working setup here; sell packages on it and that 4% adds $80 a month at $2,000 of sales.

Decision flow for coaches by how clients buy: one session at a time, Squarespace plus Acuity at $35 a month or Wix Core at $29; packages of sessions, Acuity Standard with Squarespace Basic at $46; a program or recorded course, Podia Shaker at $84 a month with no Podia fee; a group and its community, Mighty Networks Launch at $79 a month plus a 2% fee.

Packages and programs: Podia

Once a coaching practice sells a defined program, a set of sessions plus worksheets, recordings and a few weeks of email, the job shifts from booking to delivery. Podia's plans all include coaching, courses, digital downloads, a website and blog, a custom domain and community spaces (podia.com/pricing, read 10 Oct 2026). Mover is $42 a month, billed as $504 a year, with a 5% Podia fee on sales and 100 email subscribers. Shaker costs $84 a month, or $1,008 yearly, with no Podia fee and 500 subscribers. Stripe or PayPal processing, 2.9% plus 30 cents, applies on top of either.

The arithmetic between those two is simple and worth doing before you sign up. Mover's 5% equals Shaker's extra $42 a month at $840 of monthly sales; above that, Shaker is cheaper every month. A coach selling a $1,500 program to even one client a month should start on Shaker. Podia offers a 14-day free trial; its refund policy covers requests within 72 hours of a payment and excludes partial refunds on annual plans, so trial first. For a coach whose income is moving from hours to programs, Podia is the cleanest single platform on this page.

Group coaching and community: Mighty Networks

Group coaching that runs on a community, with cohorts, live events and members talking to each other between calls, is the one case where the platform should be built around the group. Mighty Networks lists Launch at $79 a month, or $950 a year, with a 2% transaction fee; Scale is $179 a month with 1%. The fee never reaches zero: Growth, at $354, still takes 0.5%. Every plan has a 14-day trial with no card.

At that price, Mighty is a group-coaching tool rather than a booking tool, and one-to-one clients are better served by the pair above. Launch and Scale cost the same at $10,000 a month of sales, where the 1-point fee difference equals Scale's extra $100. We compare Mighty Networks and Podia head to head for membership businesses in the membership website builder guide; if your coaching is mostly community, start there and try Mighty Networks on its trial.

Fees at $2k, $5k and $10k a month

Plan price is only half of a coaching platform's cost; the other half is the platform's percentage. The chart adds the two together at three realistic revenue levels. Card processing, about 2.9% plus 30 cents through Stripe or the builder's own payments, is left out because every stack pays it.

Bar chart of monthly plan cost plus platform fee at $2,000, $5,000 and $10,000 of coaching revenue: Wix Core $29 at every level; Squarespace Basic with Acuity Starter $35; Squarespace with Acuity Standard $46; Podia Shaker $84 with no fee; Mighty Networks Launch $119, $179 and $279; Podia Mover $142, $292 and $542. Card processing is left off, since every stack pays it.

Three things stand out. Flat-fee stacks stay flat: Wix Core, Squarespace with Acuity, and Podia Shaker cost the same at $10,000 a month as at $2,000. Percentage plans punish success: Podia Mover goes from $142 to $542 a month across that range, so it is only a starter plan. And Mighty's 2% on Launch is gentler than Podia Mover's 5% but never disappears. The Wix figure assumes single paid sessions; packages sold through Wix Pricing Plans add the 4% Core fee noted above, $80 a month at $2,000 of sales and $400 at $10,000.

What it really costs per month

Billed monthly, the Squarespace pair costs $45 ($25 plus $20), or $59 with Acuity Standard. Wix, Squarespace, Acuity and Podia all charge annual plans up front, so a coach on the Squarespace pair commits $420 at sign-up. A domain renews at the registrar's standard rate after the free first year. The realistic range for a one-to-one practice is $29 to $46 a month; a program business on Podia Shaker pays $84 and keeps every percentage point above processing.

Mistakes coaches make

  • Buying a course platform for a booking business. If clients buy hours from you, pay for a calendar, not a course player.
  • Staying on a percentage plan after it stops being cheap. Podia Mover's 5% passes Shaker's flat price at $840 a month of sales.
  • Selling packages through the wrong checkout. On Squarespace Basic, the store fee is 2% and digital content 7%; Acuity packages avoid both.
  • Skipping the intake form. Acuity includes custom client forms on every plan; use them so the first session starts with context.
  • Using testimonials without permission. Ask, in writing, and record the client's consent to use their name.

Every trade on the board, from salons to law firms, is filed the same way: the job first, the cheapest plan that does it second. The full list is on the best website builder by industry board.

Coaching website builder FAQ

What is the best website builder for coaches?

For one-to-one coaching, Squarespace with Acuity Scheduling: $19 plus $16, so $35 a month billed yearly (prices read 9 to 10 Oct 2026), covering booking, payment and intake forms. Wix Core at $29 is the one-bill alternative. Coaches selling programs suit Podia; group coaching with a community suits Mighty Networks.

How do I make a coaching website?

Start with the booking link, not the design. Set up a discovery call and a paid session in a scheduler such as Acuity, add an intake form, then build four pages around it: about, how coaching with you works, testimonials and a booking page. Add a course or community only once clients ask for one.

Can I take payments for coaching sessions on my website?

Yes. Acuity takes payment at booking through Stripe, Square, PayPal or Venmo on every plan from $16 a month annual. Wix takes booking payments from Core at $29. Podia includes paid coaching on all plans from $42 a month, with a 5% fee on Mover and none on Shaker. Card processing applies on all of them.

Is Podia good for coaches?

For coaches who sell programs as well as sessions, yes. Every Podia plan includes coaching, courses, downloads, a website and a custom domain. Mover costs $42 a month with a 5% fee; Shaker costs $84 with no Podia fee and is cheaper once sales pass $840 a month. It is more than a one-to-one coach needs.

How much does a coaching website cost per month?

About $29 to $46 a month on annual billing for a one-to-one practice: Wix Core at $29, or Squarespace Basic plus Acuity at $35 to $46. Program businesses pay $84 on Podia Shaker, and group coaching on Mighty Networks starts at $79 plus a 2% fee. Card processing is extra everywhere.
